Normal families with young children do not want noisy, in-your-face gays constantly in the public and media trying to normalise what is ultimately aberrant sexuality. I don't care what you say, it's offensive, like prostitutes or pornstars always publicly demanding accepting of their lifestyles as normal.
In-your-face gays in Russia have partially brought the governmental reaction upon themselves by their noisy public displays and in-your-face protests for recognition of their precious rights and demands for acceptance as 'normal.' That's of course no excuse for imprisoning or killing gays though.
No one gives a shit, were sick of it, go away and stick your genitals into each others orifices in private, we don't care, just stay out of our face and away from our families and kids. And don't give us this constant 'you suffer from homophobia' bollox, as if everyone else has the problem except you.

I imagine that Chinese children are often very close, almost like brothers and sisters are, since they would naturally subliminate their natural need for siblings to their little friends, since it is a crime in China to have a sibling.

Mark was the first gospel which the others then redacted and embellished. Mark comprised logia from some Q document or oral tradition, with the rest largely filled in by a form of midrash and pious fraud. Being convinced that Jesus was truly the resurrected Son of God, they had no compunction about interpreting OT parables in light of Jesus life.
Jesus himself did this extensively during his ministry. His first public appearance after baptism was reading from Isaiah in a synagogue and announcing that it was fulfillfed in him that day; then after his claimed resurrection he walks with the disciples explaining to them all the things he fulfilled from the Hebrew scriptures. The gospel writers were merely imitating Jesus in doing the same.
Scholar Robert M Price: "It is clear from this that a concern for historical accuracy played no part in the creation of the Gospels. The principle of eyewitness, perhaps even of representing history at all, was simply not operating. This is a chain of original storytelling, not a reproduction or editing of earlier tradition. Literary criticism reveals Mark as writing most of his Gospel out of his own imagination (drawing mostly on scriptural elements), while his redactors are recasting his efforts for their own purposes, with no concerns about compromising or falsifying historical truth or accuracy. That there was vast fabrication by all involved throughout the Christian documentary record has long been undeniable, and there is no reason to make any distinction in reliability between canonical and non-canonical writings."

Re-reading this thread now nearly 6 years later, I am amazed at what Leolaia wrote. You can see I was still a Christian apologist back then but Leolaia totally refuted me and without getting proper credit for it. I now agree with everything she wrote.

Are Men's Rights Laughable?
by Paralipomenon inreading over the woody allen thread i noticed a couple things but didn't want to side track the "discussion".
1) woody allen is creepy.
2) nobody really seemed to care that his ex-wife was abusive towards her children.. an example i think is perfect was the release of twilight where you would see lineups of 30-40 year old women making very inappropriate comments about a 16 year old boy.

It's been a man's world for thousands of yeas and still mostly is. Men have had it all their own way for so long, often to the great suffering of women and children since time immemorial. Only in relatively modern times have women finally started to gain some equality, and about bloody time too.
You do have a point that perhaps in some areas there has been a slight over-correction or hyper sensitivity, but men have brought it on themselves. I think it's pretty rich for us men to now be bleating and whining about about our 'rights' and 'equality' LOL.
